Pablo Picasso once said “Every child is an artist.” Every November Hillside showcases the creative expression of our students through different artistic mediums. Art is displayed next door in our chapel and the community is welcomed to view the amazing collection.
There is also a winter market where small crafts (perfect for holiday gifts) are sold. All proceeds benefit the art program here at Hillside and help make new creations possible. Interested in getting a head start on your shopping? Visit our storefront.

Our Art Philosophy
A driving goal of Hillside’s curriculum is to foster and help develop curiosity, creativity, and persistence by encouraging exploration, collaboration, and problem solving. As children explore the various art mediums, we focus on the process rather than the product.
Throughout the year, children have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums, such as charcoal, print making, photography, sculpture, and marbling. Each medium is adjusted to the age and ability of the child, assuring that even our youngest learners are able to participate.
